Just back from four day family trip bringing our wee boat chortle back to her winter birth at Ardrossan's Clyde Marine, from her Craignish Laggoon mooring, through the crinan canal. What a fabulous time we all had. With the logistic complications of moving the boat from a to b there is always the problem of how you move all the crew and kit about and this time our wee tender giggle home from her summer spot on the shores of Craignish Lagoon.
In brief:
Friday night drive to mooring Craignish Lagoon, load up chortle inflate spare avon tender and lift and secure giggle (our hard sailing tender) on to car roof.
Sleep
Saturday drive car to crinan
Stow avon inflatable tender and sail to crinan sea lock.
Transfer bikes from back of car to chortles coach roof, driver joins us on board
Go through the canal
Mum and daughter cycle back to car and drive to Tarbert
Son and dad sail to Tarbert
Sleep at Tarbert
Sunday was spent exploring Kintyre with our car including fab walk on the massive beach Macrihanish, and the lovely garden of painter Christine Russell at Ceardach.
Monday son and dad sail to Ardrossan
Mum and Daughter drive with ferries via Arran and lots of short lovely walks with the dog to ardrossan.
Sorted
